The Tears
Ages later, opening his eyes from deep meditation for the good of all beings, Shiva wept. Where his tears touched the earth, a tree grew — Rudra-aksha, "the tears of Rudra."

Every Shravan, devotees return that compassion — jal on the Shivling, a Rudraksha on the skin. This year, that month is yours: 30 July to 28 August.
