A Himalayan seed with four natural lines
Its name joins Rudra, a name of Lord Shiva, and aksha, eye. For centuries it has been worn close to the heart, as a bead of prayer.

The dried seed of the Rudraksha tree, from the Himalayan foothills. No two are alike. Beads from Nepal are known for their size and deep, clear lines.

Mukhi means face. Four natural lines run from top to bottom; nobody cuts them. Count them on the day yours arrives.

Honoured in tradition
In Vedic tradition the 4 Mukhi represents the four Vedas and is associated with Goddess Saraswati and with Mercury (Budh). It is traditionally worn by students, teachers and speakers for learning, mental clarity and better communication, and is suitable for men and women.

Wear it
It arrives cleaned, with the SHUDH basic energisation done, ready to wear. On a silk or cotton thread, or a metal chain. Pendant orders come set in a 92.5 sterling silver pendant, on a red thread.
Many wearers take it off before alcohol or non-veg food, as tradition suggests.
Caring for your bead
- Keep it dry. Avoid soap, shampoo and chemicals.
- Wipe with a soft cloth, and oil it lightly now and then.
- Keep it in a clean, sacred place when you are not wearing it.
- Handle it gently so it does not crack.

Questions before you order
How do I know it is original?
Count the four lines on the bead yourself when it arrives. For more assurance, add the X-ray report (+ ₹450), an optional add-on that shows the seed chambers inside the bead. You get it when you choose “With X-Ray Certificate”. If a bead is proven synthetic by a Government-recognised or ISO/IEC 17025-accredited gem laboratory, or is not the mukhi its report says, you get a 100% refund of the amount paid (including GST), a return or an exchange, with no time limit. The bead comes back to us unaltered, with any report supplied, for checking.
Is this a Nepali bead?
This bead is listed as Nepali origin.
Why do prices differ?
Price depends on the bead size, the silver pendant and the X-ray report. Larger beads cost more. The price on the buttons is the full price.
Will my bead look exactly like the photo?
It is a natural bead, so size, shape, surface and colour vary a little. A red thread comes with your order.
What about delivery, Cash on Delivery and returns?
Shipping is free across India. Orders are dispatched within 4 business days, and delivery within India takes 7 to 15 days from dispatch. Parcels are insured in transit and come with live tracking. Cash on Delivery is available on eligible orders. You can cancel free of charge any time before dispatch.
If your order arrives damaged, defective or incorrect, you can ask for a return, exchange or refund within 7 days of delivery. Just film a short unboxing video when it arrives: it makes any claim quick. When it is our error, we also pay the return courier. A bead proven synthetic is covered with no time limit. After approval, prepaid refunds take 5 to 7 working days; Cash on Delivery refunds take 10 to 12 working days to your bank account.
