What is a lucky stone in astrology?

“Lucky stone” is used loosely for three different things. The rashi ratna is the stone of the planet that rules your moon sign (the chart above). The lagna ratna is the stone of the planet that rules your ascendant, which many astrologers treat as the primary stone. Why Gomed and Cat's Eye are not rashi stones

The nine Navratna include two stones for the shadow planets: Gomed (hessonite) for Rahu and Lehsunia (cat's eye) for Ketu. Rahu and Ketu rule no sign, so these stones are never a rashi stone; they are chosen from the chart, for example during a Rahu or Ketu period.
