Authenticity matters when choosing a gemstone or Rudraksha. Report and certificate details depend on the exact piece, including items sourced after ordering. Ask what evidence will be available and when; verify an issued GemsMantra report number on our Check Certificate page. Our authenticity guarantee explains your rights if a stone is proven synthetic or an item differs from its report.
Are your gemstones and rudraksha 100% natural and real?
GemsMantra lists natural gemstones and original Nepali & Indonesian rudraksha. Some natural stones are sold with disclosed treatments.
Current listings include Black Opal (Treated) and Glass Filled Ruby Pendant. Check the exact product's description and certificate/report for treatment details before buying. Ask what report or certificate will be provided for the exact item you choose. If a GemsMantra report number is issued, verify it online.Who certifies your gemstones — is it an in-house or a third-party lab?

How can I tell if my gemstone is real and not synthetic, glass or a look-alike?
Three checks: verify the report number, look for natural inclusions, and re-test independently.
Natural stones carry tiny inclusions and uneven colour zoning that synthetics lack. You can re-test at any Government-recognised or ISO-certified gem lab — and if it's ever proven synthetic, you get a 100% refund.Can I get the stone independently re-tested, and will you refund if it fails?
Yes. Take it to any Government-recognised or ISO-certified gemological institute.
If it is proven synthetic or artificial, you're entitled to a 100% refund, return or exchange (your choice). For a qualifying claim, please obtain approval before sending the item by insured, trackable courier. We reimburse the return courier and insurance charge against the receipt, up to the cost of a standard insured, trackable service. If the claim does not qualify after inspection, courier charges both ways are yours. Any available refund or reclaim of import duties or taxes follows the relevant authority's rules; applicable consumer rights remain unaffected.Is the stone treated — heated, oiled, dyed or filled — and is that disclosed?

- Soak the bead in clean water or raw cow's milk, then rinse.

How do I wear and activate my gemstone (e.g. Pukhraj)?
Example — Yellow Sapphire (Pukhraj): wear on a Thursday, early morning (5–7 am), on the index finger of the working hand.

Natural-gem price depends on weight, colour, clarity, cut and origin — the “4Cs” plus source.
A 5-ratti and a 12-ratti Pukhraj, or a Ceylon vs Bangkok origin, are genuinely different stones. Each product page states the exact weight and grade.Does origin (Ceylon / Burma / Zambia) matter, and is Ceylon really better?
Origin affects colour, clarity and price — e.g. Ceylon sapphires and Burmese rubies command premiums.

What is your return window and money-back guarantee?
Contact us within 7 days of delivery for an item that arrived damaged, defective or incorrect. Keep a continuous, unedited unboxing video for claims about damage, missing or incorrect items, or a defect visible on opening.
A separate guarantee with no time limit covers a stone proven synthetic or artificial by a Government-recognised or ISO-certified gemological laboratory, or an item that is the wrong stone or mukhi for its GemsMantra Authenticity Report. Qualifying claims can receive a 100% refund of the amount paid (including GST), a return or exchange, subject to the claim conditions in the Refund Policy.Which items are not returnable?
These items generally cannot be returned for change of mind: bead bracelets, malas, crystal trees, rakhi, customised jewellery, gift cards, and sale items. The Refund Policy still covers an item that arrived damaged, defective or incorrect, and the separate authenticity guarantee where applicable.
Change of mind and slight natural colour/size variation are not grounds for return.When and how will I get my refund (prepaid vs COD)?
Prepaid refunds in 5–7 working days; other approved refunds within 10–12 working days.
