Its name joins Rudra, a name of Lord Shiva, and aksha, eye. For centuries it has been worn close to the heart, as a bead of prayer.

Mukhi means face. Seventeen natural lines run from top to bottom; nobody cuts them. Count them on the day yours arrives.

In Vedic tradition the 17 Mukhi is associated with Vishwakarma, the celestial architect, and with Goddess Katyayani. It is traditionally worn for unexpected gains, property and material prosperity, and is suitable for men and women.

Wear it
It arrives cleaned, with the SHUDH basic energisation done, ready to wear. On a silk or cotton thread, or a metal chain.
Many wearers take it off before alcohol or non-veg food, as tradition suggests.
Caring for your bead
- Keep it dry. Avoid soap, shampoo and chemicals.
- Wipe with a soft cloth, and oil it lightly now and then.
- Keep it in a clean, sacred place when you are not wearing it.
- Handle it gently so it does not crack.

Questions before you order
How do I know it is original?
Count the seventeen lines on the bead yourself when it arrives. If a bead is proven synthetic by a Government-recognised or ISO/IEC 17025-accredited gem laboratory, or is not the mukhi its report says, you get a 100% refund of the amount paid (including GST), a return or an exchange, with no time limit. The bead comes back to us unaltered, with any report supplied, for checking.
Is this an Indonesian bead?
This bead is listed as Indonesian origin.
Will my bead look exactly like the photo?
It is a natural bead, so size, shape, surface and colour vary a little. A red thread comes with your order.
What about delivery, Cash on Delivery and returns?
Shipping is free across India. Orders are dispatched within 4 business days, and delivery within India takes 7 to 15 days from dispatch. Parcels are insured in transit and come with live tracking. Cash on Delivery is available on eligible orders. You can cancel free of charge any time before dispatch.
If your order arrives damaged, defective or incorrect, you can ask for a return, exchange or refund within 7 days of delivery. Just film a short unboxing video when it arrives: it makes any claim quick. When it is our error, we also pay the return courier. A bead proven synthetic is covered with no time limit. After approval, prepaid refunds take 5 to 7 working days; Cash on Delivery refunds take 10 to 12 working days to your bank account.
