Dhanu Rashi Ratna (Sagittarius): Pukhraj (Yellow Sapphire), Upratna and How to Choose
The rashi ratna for Dhanu Rashi (Sagittarius) is traditionally Pukhraj (Yellow Sapphire), ruled by Jupiter (Guru). This is the association given in Vedic (jyotish) tradition. "Rashi" here means your Moon sign (Chandra rashi), which can differ from the sun sign given by your birth date.

Upratna (substitute) options
Citrine (Sunela) is the upratna most often named for Pukhraj. This collection has 51 citrines in stock. An upratna is a traditional alternative, usually chosen for budget; it is not treated as equal to the main ratna.
How to choose
- Confirm the chart first. Tradition picks a stone from your whole kundli, not the rashi alone. Try the free Gemstone Calculator or book an astrologer consultation (₹499, adjusted against a purchase).
- Weight is set in ratti, as general guidance only. Many astrologers suggest about 3 ratti or more for Pukhraj. Heavier is not automatically better. Use the carat to ratti converter to read listings, which show both units.
- Read the report. Every order ships with a GemsMantra Authenticity Report whose number you can check on the Check Certificate page. GemsMantra works with leading labs including GIA, IGI, GRS and GJEPC's IIGJ. Each stone's listing names the lab that issued its report and the report number. Check the treatment field: listings here show either "No Indication of Treatments" or "-". A blank field is a question to ask, not an answer.
- Know the return terms. Returns are for items that arrive damaged, defective or incorrect (claims within 7 days of delivery, with an unboxing video). If a qualifying lab proves a stone synthetic, the guarantee gives a full refund with no time limit.

Rudraksha for Dhanu Rashi
5 Mukhi Rudraksha is the primary recommendation for Dhanu Rashi - associated with Panchmukhi Shiva and Jupiter. In Vedic tradition, it supports the life areas governed by Jupiter: wisdom, prosperity, spiritual growth, and good fortune. 5 Mukhi is traditionally treated as suitable for every rashi as a daily-wear bead. Individual results vary.
